Yea :)

I think I'm a nerd! I got my first official sale on Etsy this weekend & there it is above. (It's my Spring Lei necklace in the middle - Reserved for Sampson) I can't believe it. I know I shouldn't be thinking that, but so many things have been falling into place for me personally this year. There have been sooooo many years that I kept saying "I want to sell my jewelry" "I want to be passionate about my job" "Can't I get health care benefits through crafts?" Okay, so the last thought isn't true, yet... I just wanted to share my happiness and thank everyone for their support and inspiration. I think one of the reasons I am where I am today is from blogging. I have found friends, inspiration, support and just enough courage to put myself out there.
I'm just thrilled.

Hallelujah...

Still no external drive power source, but I figured out how to save my pictures to the hard drive. (That's a huge task for me, remember computer idiot!!) I have PICTURES :)

OUR LITTLE KAYDEN OLIVIA
CAN YOU SAY TYPE A?

My husband and I have this running joke about our kids. Even the pediatrician was in on it. We keep finding these type A character traits in the boys. It always gives us a good laugh. The pose above seems to run in the family. Stressed out hands while sleeping or feeding. This is our new little niece. She's such a doll and a princess, of course.
Here's a few pictures of the boys since I've come home. We just went to the beach this week (and we all got sunburns). We also had art day on the patio. The last picture is at the bowling alley on base. It was raining and they were so stir crazy at home. Thank goodness for indoor play areas.
Tomorrow I'll post some pictures of new pieces for my Etsy store. I've been on a roll!

I've Missed You

I was gone last week to meet my new little niece, Kayden. What a cutie. Where are the pictures you ask? All my stuff, including my photo software, is housed in an external drive which has no power source at this time. Hence, no pics and no recent posts. I need help!
When I get something figured out, I'm sure I can move my photo program, I'll start posting again. I have so much to post.
  1. My pink PURPOSE pages for Gina's Artjournalz group.
  2. I did a goodie swap with Bonnie. Ooh did I get some fabulous artwork. She's so talented!
  3. The ATC doodle swap I did over at Chrysti's.
  4. I have some new jewelry to post on my Etsy store.

At least the computer works so I can read everyone's blogs. ;)

I LOVE this blogging community

I just recieved my very first RAK from Lia of Art Junk Girl. I ADORE her work. Besides the fact that she does 1" collages, a girl after my own heart, she is so generous in sharing her work and tutorials. She's also been doing some fabulous journal entries. Her goal is to make 1000 inchies this year. I just love looking at them. She sent me some postcards of her fashion series, my fave! What are you still doing here... go take a look at her work.

If You See Me, Please Tell Me to Wait so ...

I can catch up with myself. I've been so busy with well, life. Everything has been moving a million miles a minute. I don't think I'd have it any other way, though.
Well, after the exciting day of consigning my jewelry and pendants at my first retail store, I had another banner day. I will be teaching art classes on base. I'm thrilled! I'll be doing a collaged frame, collaged journal, and basic jewelry making. I can't wait to meet other artists!

I just mailed off my doodle ATC's for a swap over at Chrysti's. This is the first time I've done an ATC swap, much less ATC's. I've been meaning to start ATC's and I thought this swap was a great opportunity. If you want to see some great ATC's head over to Bonnie's. She has such a beautiful knack for these. She's even created some artwork to use on the back of your ATC's.

I've got some other swaps coming up. I'm doing a collaborative journal over on Gina's blog Joyful Purpose. I picked pink for my color, no surprise there! I always mean to scan images as I'm going so here's the first one, and I haven't scanned one since! While you're over at Gina's blog, take a look at this post. If you can send anything Gina's way, I know she'd truely appreciate it. If any of you are like me, I know you've got some extra supplies. I have tons of fabric from my days at Robert Allen and when I worked as a product freak (that was my self-given title) at a furniture store. Besides sending the ATC's and box of fabric to Gina, I also sent my first swap box to Bonnie. I hope she likes it. It's the first time I've done a swap like this. In addition to all this, I also have the charm swap due in the middle of the month.
