Karen is a fellow blogger I met while I lived in the Maryland area. She has the coolest room at the
Old Lucketts Store with lots of fun merchandise. She also has a few terrific blogs: The
Graphics Fairy, clip art galore,
Background Fairy, for blog backgrounds, and her newest one
Ciao From Tuscany. What's so fun about this blog is that she & her Italian friend, Daniella, blog about their lives from 2 separate countries. I just love it!
I layered the Mermaid image from Karen's Graphics Fairy blog with a map collage to decorate gift boxes for some special jewelry. I came up with the graphic above & printed it on a tea stained colored piece of cardstock. I put that on top of vintage sheet music then put that on the box.
I finished it with some tulle & a "fishing tail" with some sequins & one of my Moo cards. Voila!

I just love your jewelry boxes! The addition of the vintage sheet music really sets it off! Saw you at Brag Monday. Not sure how I missed that neatmermaid graphic. I will be sure to use that in a future project!

Hi Nerissa!!
I'm so glad you joined us today! I'm blushing from your sweet words about my blogs! Thank you so much!
Your boxes are gorgeous!! I love all the layers you used. That mermaid looks so pretty with the maps behind her, and that sparkly tulle is so yummy!
I scrolled down to take a peak at your creative space. I loved seeing all your jewelry spread out like a little jewelry shoppe! And all that tulle your have is wonderful! I can't believe you had to move again, I hope it wasn't too difficult! Any chance you'll move back to Maryland in a couple of years? Or will you guys go someplace else next?
Thanks for linking up today.
Hugs,
Karen
