In ♥ Love♥ With My Dress & My Date
Hee hee, it's like I'm going to the prom! I've been running around trying to figure out what to wear to the ball. I found this pink pleated dress about a week ago & made my hubby take me back today to get it. I couldn't stop thinking of it. I had another dress, but it needs alterations. I attempted to go to a tailor yesterday but there was a *bit* of a communication issue. So here I am with my pink princess dress, which still needs altering. It's too long, of course, but there's no hem, just a raw edge. I'm petrified of cutting it, but I've started so no turning back. I'll post pictures after the event. I better go. Alterations to be completed & jewelry to be designed & created!Saturday, August 22, 2009
Pink Saturday ~ New Blog Header ~ Photoshop Tips
Happy Pink Saturday! If you haven't noticed, I have a New header up there. The best part is I did it myself. I had some help from Miss Tara's wonderful book Blogging For Bliss, which you should pick up if you blog or are thinking about it. I love the book because it has loads of pages of creative blogs to check out & tons of important information. I've been blogging for 3 years now & have learned so much!
Besides using the Tara's Blogging for Bliss book, I've also used the following links for digital fun:
- Rhonna Farrer Rhonna is a rock star digital designer. I've purchased some digital brushes, kits, & even my blog background from her company House of 3. Rhonna's blog & the House of 3 blog has lots of tutorials & Q&A's. I learned a lot by just reading them. There are even videos available.
- Deviant Art I googled free digital brushes & stumbled upon this site. I've found so many fun ones. The artists there are so generous to share their designs. I played around with the free brushes before I bought some from House of 3.
If you want to see more pink go visit Beverly at How Sweet the Sound. Enjoy your Pink Saturday!

Pink Saturday ~ August 8
I'm going to make this post short & let the pictures do the talking. I'm *bit* on the exhaused side. I had to travel back to Charlottesville today to pick up our passports & visas & travel back home. All this happened after 5 hours of back to school shopping.Saturday, August 1, 2009
Pink Saturday ~ Pink ATC downloads for you
Happy Pink Saturday! It's been so long since I've been able to participate. My laptop took a little 3 week trip to be repaired, I've been preparing for this move that seems like forever, then I just needed a little break :) So now I'm back. Please go visit our hostess Beverly & take a look at the participant list. One of the things I did while I was gone, was play with Photoshop Express. I've had such a good time. I'm ready to make downloadable goodies all the time. Unfortunately things like laundry, dirty kids & hungry family members need to be taken care of first! Really, do you have to eat when I've found a bunch of cool vintage brushes to download?

Pink Saturday ~ June 20 2009
Happy Pink Saturday! Hopefully this post is up on Saturday. I'll be traveling back to MD after a short stay in Charlottesville. For today I'm showing my newest crochet necklaces. I used pink c-lon thread & pink seedbeads. The one on the left is a pink strawberry pendant with rhinestones. I picked up that cutie at Studio Baboo in Charlottesville. The one on the right is the pendant I made with Jane Wynn at the Art & Soul retreat. There's a better picture here. The weather hasn't been the greatest here & I don't have my computer to do the photo editing.
Be sure to say hi to Beverly, our hostess, & check out her blog How Sweet the Sound for the list of pink participants.

Happy Pink Saturday ~ May 16
I am a big paper freak, so I have lots of pink patterned paper. I love to embelish with rub-ons, stickers, rubber stamps, my own doodles & anything with bling. I'll show all of them when I get a group shot. Some of my tags are even in color combos I don't normally work with.

Art & Soul Part 2 ~ Pink Saturday
Here's what I made in my class Pipe Dreams with Jane. The one on the right is made from Basic Grey paper, a mini Eiffel Tower charm & some pink seed beads. I'm having eye allergy issues so this post is short & sweet. I have more pictures & stories from Art & Soul, so I promise to post them all. We learned how to cut pipes, solder them, decorate & pop some plexi on top to finish.Make sure to stop by Beverly's to see who else is participating in Pink Saturday.

Pink Saturday ~ Feb 21
Here are a few works in progress on my craft table. I'm so excited about where my work is going these days. I keep finding these little tangents & going down those paths. I think I may even have another collection in me. I am such NOT a collection designer, but I'm just going with it. It's wonderful to have all these ideas swirling in my head.
Left to right: - A faceted button layered with a fish button on a brass setting. A glass & fresh water pearl & Swarovski starfish dangle from vintage chain. I've been playing with these elements for a couple of weeks & finally had a break through.
- The next necklace has pink & yellow Czech glass beads on one side. I think I'm going to put some vintage chain on the other (just waiting for some new supplies to arrive). This bead is so pretty. It has a mix of clear & opaque pink & yellow colors. It has a vintage brass heart shaped lock with a heart shaped key (finished by Patina Queen), a pink Swarovski ring & glass pearls.
- The last one is a "bouquet" of flowers & crystals from an orphaned earring. The bouquet has lots of pink crystals & flowers. It hangs from vintage chain. I had to ask my hubby if it looked alright all on it's lonesome. I have that "more is better" symdrome sometimes :)
Last but not least is the funniest cartoon my mom sent me in my Valentine's package. I immediately thought of my Pink Saturday friends! While I am a proud Florida State alumn, I got a good laugh from this one. I also have to take some pics of some crochet flowers my mom made me. I got a couple of pink ones & used one on my sweater this week. Saturday, February 14, 2009
Happy Valentines Day ~ Happy Pink Saturday ~ A Party!

Visit Chelsea Ann's Blog (she's the hostess with the mostest & some of the cutest party favors in her store) Itty Bitty Birdie on February 14th and visit all the participating blogs for your chance to win some fabulous Door Prizes! Each Blog Party will have an item from their LolliShop hidden in their Party Photos. You will find each vendor's item and comment "I found it" to win! If your comment is chosen, you will be asked to name the item you found to win your Door Prize.
If you want to meet more lolli friends go here to the networking site. To see some pictures of the event you can check out the flickr group.

I've been sick off & on this week. I bet some of you know how it is when your little ones bring all sorts of germs home & all of you just share for weeks on end. I'm there! I didn't have a chance to get my party pictures done, so I'm not able to participate as a vendor. I hope you do visit those participating. There are so many talented artists involved.
My sweet hubby got me the cutest pink watch for Valentine's day. I told him not to get me anything & he told me it was a practical gift I needed. I'll post a picture of it later. I don't have one yet! I'm so glad this week is over. Hopefully I'll be back to my well self after the weekend. I miss my crafting & taking photos & stalking flickr.
